Wow! It’s been an amazing couple of months on the 'Go Natural' Tour and I can't thank you enough for all your support! It's crazy to think that we kicked off in October, in Louisiana, wearing short sleeves. Last week we wrapped up in Michigan, covered in snow.
This all started with me wanting to travel the country in a smart, environmentally friendly way. I'm proud to say that we accomplished that goal – at least we did the best that we could. I had a blast out on the road, but I also learned a lot about compressed natural gas (CNG) and the impact the fuel can have on going green. I truly believe in CNG and this experience has given me a clear picture of where we need to go from here.
In some areas, driving a natural gas vehicle (NGV) is practical. In others, the infrastructure needs to expand. By documenting the process, I hope I was able to give you a glimpse of our daily routine to see that, when the stations are there, they’re easy to locate and when you get the hang of it, filling an NGV easy too. There are hurdles though – we need more stations and we need more vehicles. Most of all, we need to raise awareness and create demand. This happens by spreading the word and telling your friends. I promise to do my part if you’ll do the same.
Thanks again for all the support. I had a great time and I’ll see you all on the road next spring!
