In October I had the opportunity to attend the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show for the unveiling of Peake Fuel Solution’s CNG In A Box™ system. Billed as a turnkey revenue revolution, it is a plug-and-play compressed natural gas (CNG) delivery system that is bound to revolutionize and drastically expand CNG fueling infrastructure in the United States.
The time was fitting, as I enter my second year of managing CNGnow. When I first started, the push for CNG was a fringe movement and those reaching out to us (on Twitter and Facebook, among other places) were looking for baseline information on the fuel. This slowly segued into increased demand for vehicles. Now, NGVs are more widely available and are becoming even more so at an increasing rate. As the movement grows and the desire for American energy independence becomes mainstream, the tone has changed. The top question I’m asked by fleet managers and retailers is, “How can I add CNG to my operation?” If you’re interested, I suggest you start by educating yourself on the market. Check out the TIAX report, published earlier this year. The CNG In A Box system might be a good solution for you. Visit their website to find out more.
At NACS, a conference filled with endless varieties of snack food and more distractions than any other I’ve ever been a part of, the CNG In A Box system generated a buzz around the convention hall. Day after day, a steady stream of attendees flooded the booth. The most famous of them all, former presidential candidate, Rick Santorum even stopped by for the full tour. I finished the week confident that we will soon see CNG In A Box popping up all over the nation.

Beyond the convention, the system has gained attention because it was built in partnership with GE and earned ecomagination™ qualification. With the name recognition and respect that comes with GE, this product is sure to alleviate market skepticism and assure station operators that a high quality, easy-to-install distribution system is available. The first of these are currently being installed in Texas.
CNG In A Box comes in a 20-foot ISO container that houses everything you need. The actual pumps and an electrical panel are the only removed elements. It’s designed to industry standards and codes. It pumps 7.5 GGE per minute. The best part though — it’s available now. Learn more a PeakeFuelSolutions.com.
