If you are driving along East 55th Street and Lexington Avenue in Cleveland, you might notice a new natural gas filling station being built.

Devo Bavishi is the president of Ace Taxi and said there’s a big demand for natural gas filling stations because so many vehicles are converting to natural gas.

He recently partnered with a company called Clean Energy to have the unique station built on his property.

Bavishi, of Cleveland, said, “We started this opportunity with Clean Energy.  There’s a federal grant available and they needed an east side location to open up a natural gas fueling station, and we had the property available and it was an easy fit for our fleet to convert vehicles.”

And some drivers agree.

Jaime Camacho recently started driving for Ace and he said it’s important to go green.

“I think it’s really a good idea.  It’s good for the environment, (reducing) pollution, I think everybody should go clean energy,” Camacho told Fox 8 News.

Not only is natural gas good for the environment, it’s also good for your car.

Plus it will only cost you $2.39 a gallon.

Bavishi believes by the end of the month, his taxi service will have 25 cars on the road using natural gas, and plans to have 50 by the end of the year.

Ace Taxi currently uses propane, which is also good for the environment.

There is also another natural gas station by Clean Energy currently being built by the airport and both stations should be open within the next few months.

If you are interested in converting your car to natural gas it will cost you $12,000 to $15,000.​
